You have traveled to Rajasthan and South India. We present to you a tour in Gujarat for a discovery of little-known India. Gujrat, a still little-explored region of India full of sublime landscapes and historical monuments.

Cities to visit: Ahmedabad – Danta – Bajna – Bhuj – Gondal – Dwarka – Sasangir – Palitana – Vadodara – Jambhugoda


Day 01 :- Ahmedabad:

Arrive at Ahmedabad International Airport in the evening. Reception by our representative to welcome you to India and transfer to the hotel.


Day 02 :- Ahmedabad / Adlaj / Vadnagar / Danta:

Departure for Danta, a small village on the border of the Rajasthan and Gujarat region. On the way visit the AdlajVav stepwell and the Vadnagar site. On arrival, installation at Danta. Visit Ambaji temple and Kumbharia Jain temple. Evening discovery of the village of Danta.

 


Day 03 :- Danta / Patan / Modhera / Bajana:

Departure for Bajana. On the way visit Rani – kiVav in Patan (step well), remarkable for the finesse of its sculptures which depict part of the Hindu pantheon surrounded by graceful apsaras (cosmic dancers) and sages. We find in particular Vishnu and all his avatars who have a beautiful place among all the gods represented. Continuation of the road towards Dasada. Visit the Sun temple at Modhera, built by the Solanki dynasty in the 11th century. This finely carved temple has in the foreground a large water reservoir dedicated to the ablutions of devotees, the stepped steps of which are dotted with small sanctuaries dedicated to different gods. Installation in Bajana. Free evening.


Day 04 :- Bajana:

Jeep safari in the LittleRann of Kutch to visit wild animals such as wild donkeys, antelopes, foxes and several species of migratory birds. In the afternoon visit with a guide from the hotel to the tribal villages around Bajana.


Day 05 :- Bajana / Ajrakpur / Bhuj:

Departure for Bhuj. Visit to the village of Ajrakpur known throughout the world for its fabric printed with wooden blocks. Continue to Bhuj, Installation in Bhuj and then visit the Bhuj Palace, Aina Mahal and the Swaminarayan Temple. Free evening to stroll around the town of Bhuj.


Day 06 :-Bhuj / Banni villages / Rann of Kutch / Bhuj:

Departure to visit the Bannis villages such as Hodka, Ludiya and Dhorado to see the tribal communities like Harijan, Jat and Meghwals. Then at the end of the afternoon visit the salt desert of Rann de Kutch, a desert extended over several kilometers. In the evening return to Bhuj to your hotel.

 


Day 07 :- Bhuj / Mandvi / Bhuj (excursion):

Departure to visit the village of Mandvi located on the edge of the Arabian Sea. Visit to Mandvi Palace, VijayVilas Palace. Then visit the wooden boat manufacturing workshop and visit the village of Mandvi. Late afternoon return to Bhuj.


Day 08 :- Bhuj / Gondal:

Departure for Gondal, the region of the nomads of Saurastra. Installation in GondalVisit of the Naulakha palace which overlooks the river. Its facade, its balconies and ornate windows are particularly remarkable. At the end of the afternoon, visit the ancient city of Gondal.


Day 09 :- Gondal / Porbandar / Dwarka:

Departure for Dwarka, a major place of pilgrimage for Hindus and the capital of the god Krishna. En route visit Porbandar to the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation and the icon of peace and non-violence. Installation in Dwarka and then discovery of the city of Dwarka.


Day 10 :- Dwarka:

Visit the Dwarkadish temple and other temples, built between the 14th and 15th century. Then departure by boat to visit the second temple of Dwarkadish located on Bet Dwarka island. At the end of the afternoon, departure to visit the Nageshwar temple, known for its large statue of God Shiva (possibility of making this journey in a chakkada motorized vehicle, local transport). In the evening return to Dwarka and free evening.


Day 11 :- Dwarka / Somnath / Sasan Gir:

Departure for SasanGir. On the way visit Somnath, a major place of pilgrimage for Hindus dedicated to Shiva. Visit the Somnath temple from the outside (visiting the sacred chapalle inside the temple is prohibited for non-Hindu). Installation in SasanGir.


Day 12 :-Sasan Gir:

Safari in the morning and after by jeep in the Sasan Gir reserve.


ay 13 :- SasanGir / Junagarh / Palitana:

Departure for Palitana. On the way visit the pleasant city of Junagarh, dominated by Mount Ginar which peaks at 1,117 m. Junagadh is one of the oldest cities in India. There are Buddhist caves believed to be more than 1500 years old. Visit the Darbar Hall museum and the edicts of Ashoka, fourteen of which are engraved in a block of granite. They are written in the Brahmi alphabet in a language similar to Pali. Visit the ancient fort, the Uparkot citadel, from which the city is overlooked. We cross two narrow monumental doors in a chicane (an enormous statue, at least three meters high, painted in vermilion, of the god Ganesh has been installed there in a large niche between these two doors). Installation in Palitana. Then free time to stroll around the town of Palitana.


Day 14 :- Palitana

Departure for the visit of the Shatrunjaya Hill temples. Shatrunjaya Hill (meaning Victory Square, 600 meters above sea level) is one of the 10 sacred places for the Jain community. Access is only on foot: 3600 steps to climb in nature to reach a collection of 850 Jain temples and 3500 gods. You will come across many pilgrims from the Jain community. In the evening, visit the village of Palitana. Free afternoon to explore the town of Palitana and its markets.


Day 15 :- Palitana / Lothal / Vadodara:

Departure for Vadodara. On the way visit the archaeological site of Lothal of the Harrapa and Mohejodaro civilization. Then drive to Vadodara. Settling in Vadodara. Then departure to visit the Lakshmi Vilas Palace. Free evening at your hotel.


Day 16 :- Vadodara

Visit Vadodara – Laxmi niwas Palace, Archaeological Muse, Sayaji Rao Garden, and Local Walk.


Day 17 :- Vadodara/ Jambughoda:

Departure for Jambugoda, check-in at the hotel, visit Jambugoda Park with your driver.


Day 18 :- Jambhugoda / Chota Udaipur / Jambughoda:

Departure for Chota Udaipur and visit Chota Udepur, the market town (“haat” city) with its numerous temples, extravagant palaces and surrounding tribal villages. “Haat” markets take place every day in the villages. That of Chhotaudepura takes place on Saturday, that of Kawant 22 km away on Monday etc. Evening return to Jambugodha.


Day 19 :- Jambudhoga / Champaner / Pavagadh / Ahmedabad:

Departure for Ahmedabad. On the way visit the archaeological park of Champaner – Pavagad. Unesco World Heritage Site. Visit the Jain and Hindu temples in Pavagarh and the JamaMasjid palaces and mosque in Champaner. Then departure for Ahmedabad. Installation in Ahmedabad and free evening.


Day 20 :- Ahmedabad

In the morning departure to visit the Sidi Said mosque, then visit the Jain temple of HathiSing Ji and the Gandhi Ashram in Sabarmati. Late afternoon free to visit the markets of Ahmedabad.


Day 21 :- Ahmedabad:

Transfer To Ahmedabad Airport To Catch Flight back To France. End Of Our Services.
